The first step to getting to know God and building a “personal relationship” with Him, comes with removing any fear out and praying to Him in all heart felt honesty. You have nothing to hide from God, he is all knowing, so he already knows your strengths and also your weaknesses. So just be open with Him, that way you can ask him what you are really truly seeking to know along with any questions you maybe holding on to. He will listen and help guide you as long as you trust in him and have faith.
If you like to read the Bible and search it out, any Bible translation you choose will always give you the ‘same story line’, because Gods word can not be changed. The Bible gives us everything we need to know. There are also Bible apps you can use that have each Bible translation in them so that you can refer to each in your studies. But you will quickly notice that they all give you the same story line, so do not fear in choosing which is right, God will guide you. He will also help answer your questions as you continue on your path in faith. The answers may not come instantly, he shows us as we are ready to see. He knows when our minds are ready to understand what it is that he is teaching and showing us.

Adam died at 930 years old. Within 1 day of Gods time, which is 1,000 years for humans (2Peter 3:8). God said Adam would die within 1 day of his sin, and he actually did. All through scripture the years and timeline go by ‘Gods time clock’. God lives in eternity, but we live in time and space. The only one who can create time is God because he is outside of time, living within eternity. As humans we have a 24 hour time clock for day and night, but God and his angels live in an eternal realm and do not age. God created the sun to give us light by day, and the moon to give us light by night, all within a 24 hour time clock.
